rescue remedy?

tethersend · 20/09/2013 09:26

Gin.

libertychick · 20/09/2013 09:34

I second gin!

Deep breathing and counting to 10. Realising that this is only 1 day out of her life, it wont be perfect no matter what she does and that it doesnt matter at all if it isnt. Candles and showergel dont destress people unless they are stressed about not having a candle or shower gel.

thanks peeps, may go for good old rescue remedy! Like the idea of gin but may get her sacked Grin any other ideas first?
Ps: Sunday don't think she would like the design of the ortigia candles but aroma blends could have worked,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

hehehe dick! but shes not stressed about day itself just shit going on before it..........................! thinks theres bigger things to worry about than having correct candle and body wash.... did make me chuckle Wink however anything to try and level her.

What about a mini facial or half hour reflexology session?

Still vote for deep breathing and counting to 10 though- stress is psychological- you choose to be stressed so you must choose to stop being stressed. Candles etc only work because the person has chosen to use it as the physical representation of them choosing not to stress. Smile

This may sound a bit odd, but what about a David Attenborough DVD box set (Blue Planet is about £7 on Amazon, Life is about the same, and I'm sure I've seen Africa for under £10 recently)? I'm not sure whether other people find his stuff calming, but it made a huge difference to me earlier this year and is still the only thing that can make me sleep when I'm stressed - I find his voice really soothing, the footage is all beautiful, and the newer series are all very absorbing. This discovery may have led me to buy 13 series worth of Attenborough documentaries, so caution might be advisable...
