Has anyone got these? If so, do they look really distressed, almost to the point that they look too worn?

Mine arrived today and I'm just not sure whether the finish of them will bug me or not...

I'm not a fan of jalouse for exactly the reason you say. these much nicer in my opinion.

Tedder · 19/09/2013 20:49

I don't have these but I wish I hadn't clicked on the link....because I now want them! Gorgeous! How do you find the sizing? I have a pair of Jalouse in my usual size 37 and they are massive...probably could have gone a size smaller.

MrsMcGregor · 19/09/2013 21:23

Oh MrsCB, those are very nice indeed. Do you have them? If so, how high is the heel and how do they rate for comfort? Thanks!

cloudberry · 20/09/2013 10:56

Also interested in sizing please

Leopoldina · 20/09/2013 10:59

Mrs C-B is that your wish list? I v much like the Whistles leather and the raffia tweed...

(sizing on all Ash - huge. Go down at least half a size)

MrsCampbellBlack · 20/09/2013 11:20

It is my wishlist or rather anything I see I like the look of Wink

I don't know about sizing as just saw them in a shop this week and I really don't need anymore navy boots. But thought they looked lovely. I suspect the heel is slightly higher than the jalouse though and they're not as distressed looking.

Leopoldina · 20/09/2013 11:38

You were responsible for my studded sleeve Zara coat last year, so I should keep an eye, I like your taste! You did make me just go and look on my-wardrobe - have you SEEN those Acne leather dungarees? who. in. their. right. mind????

I consider myself a pretty casual dresser, but I couldn't cope with the worn effect of the tan jalouse boots I bought last year, had to return them.

QueenCadbury · 20/09/2013 12:32

Thanks all for replying.

hopefully I don't think I can cope with it either so will have to return them I think. But I love the colour and the fit.

mrscb those you linked to are lovely and I was tempted but the wooden heel puts me off. That's why I love the ash with the black heel.

Why are navy boots so hard to find??

I have several pairs - rag & bone newbury, pistols ( I dyed them navy) and last year M&S which are similar style to jalouse but higher.

You could always dye a lighter colour pair - I tend to dye the heels as well but I don't mind a lighter colour heel.
