What are we wearing to job interviews these days?!

I've just received a letter inviting me to interview. Great. Not so great is that it is at 10am tomorrow. & I haven't worked for 5 years, & none of my old work clothes fit.

It is a low level administrative role for a national charity, I am mid-20s, & about a size 14. I can go to a shopping centre tonight, but will need to have a rough idea of what I'm looking for. I don't even know where to start. Do I need a jacket? Skirt? Trousers? I am panicking!

I'm about 5'6 & an hourglass size 14. Pale skin, dark brown hair & dark hazelish eyes.

I am going to drag myself off to a big shopping centre tonight when DP gets home & can watch DS, so I will have access to most high street shops.

Not totally fixed on budget. Up to about £100, I suppose, but cheaper is obviously better, within reason!

Thank you for your help - even just having a reply calmed me down a bit :) in the end, I've gone for dark grey trousers, a white pussybow blouse & a grey jacket. Haven't yet totally decided on shoes, but I have a few to choose from :)

Thanks! I've gone for just plain black flats in the end. Contemplated something fancier, but want to be as comfortable as possible. Feeling so much calmer now I'm dressed & on my way - it feels more like playing at grown ups than a genuine interview
