Jacket /Coat to wear over a blazer

DS 11 has just started high school and needs a black , waterproof jacket / coat to wear over his blazer to get him through winter. Really not sure what kind of thing to go for .I don't think a lightweight raincoat/ mac will be warm enough but standard winter costs will probably be too heavy and bulky over the top of a blazer. Also there appears to be no where at school to store coats so he will be carrying it around with him btw lessons. Any suggestions appreciated.

I bought a black Trespass coat for my DS (and a very dark navy for DD)
Both at Secondary , limited locker space,

My DS won't wear a 'fat coat' as he calls it so no point buying a 3-in-1 or a padded or fleece lined.
DD will wear a jumper though unlike her brother. DS doesn't feel cold (odd child)

They are waterproof/ high water resistant (Trespass have a factory in Glasgow.
Glasgow = RAIN )

Lots of zipped pockets too.

Look online or if you have an outlet store , much cheaper than shops.

They do come up a bit small though.
