After reading the shitey gift thread can you come and reassure me about my friends 50th presents

I've bought her a grey, patent Coach bag - it's definitely the sort of thing she likes, I love it and we both seem to like the same stuff. She definitely doesn't have a grey bag but has lots of nice grey tunics etc.

A skull pattern, leopard McQueen scarf - now I know they're 2 years ago but she wouldn't spend the cash though she did fancy it - I got it cheap in the sale

I now need a recommendation for someone fabulous nail varnish or mascara - chanel or something good and current.

Yep, someone said handbags more than once. I think she'll like them.

I'm also getting one of those big silver spoons with her name on saying "names big pudding spoon" as we're fans of cake.

I was 50 this year. If anyone had got me that, I would have loved them and loved them forever. DH gave me a really nice watch, but it was too small, and is still waiting to have the strap changed and I can't read the watchface either as I'm 50 FGS and my eyesight is crap.

I would have loved a shiny new handbag carefully selected to go with my favourite clothes. And a scarf.
