Footwear with skinnies

What do you wear with your skinnies in winter? In summer I wear converse or sandals. In winter I generally live in knee boots, but I find these uncomfortable with skinnies (if I can even manage to cram the jeans in to do them up).

Ankle boots with kitten heel or shoe boots with a bigger heel

I wear military style flat work boot type things.

Always boots!

Brogues?

I love brogues. I just can't see them working with any of my outfits.

I think (ankle) boots is probably the way forward but I'm struggling to find something I like.

Ankle boots mostly, or heeled shoe-boots.

depends where I am going. General day wear some ballet pumps and pop socks or in deep winter ankle boots or knee boots

Brogues or mid calf boots.
