Hi all,

I have birthday money to spend and since having dc2, my jeans no longer fit :(

I need high-rise to suck the c-section lumps and bumps in!

Any recommendations?

I have some great ones from topshop, will look up the name...

MorrisZapp · 15/09/2013 20:38

Marks and Spencer's. They are fab. They come in a choice of leg lengths, and the sizes won't make you cry like Top Shop's do fuck off am I a size 16

MorrisZapp · 15/09/2013 20:40

I did that strike through properly! There should be a law...

The Top Shop ones are called Jamie (don't tell the MN mafia) and Kirsten. I find them depressingly narrow cut, and they don't usually carry size 16 ( really a breathable 14) in stores very often so I purchased on eBay. Then resold, boo hoo.

Topshop Kristen. No longer in the shops which makes me Sad

nope, sorry can't find them, looks like they don't do them anymore (but they do others).

I like the next high waisted jeans, I am a shortie and the petite and perfect in the leg

Following as was just thinking about this today

Definitely the M&S jeggings - really skinny jeans though, not jeggings. A snip at under £25. Bought an indigo pair and they are by far the item I wear most in my wardrobe. They have worn really well and retain their shape. I have ordered another indigo pair and also a black pair for this winter.

I had the Topshop Leighs in black but they became a bit thin with wear. I don't like the Jamies. Make my backside look large and I'm only a size 6!!

Next petite jeans are also worth a look if you're short like me.

Chubfuddler · 15/09/2013 21:06

The Gok Wan black skinnies in sainsburys are brilliant.

ellesabe · 15/09/2013 21:37

I do actually have some M&S jeggings which fit me nicely round the waist but are rather baggy-legged. I wouldn't call them skinny-fit, more like straight-legged.
I don't think I can just down-size either because the smaller waist size would pinch at all my lumpy-bumpiness Sad
I really need something really high-waisted to suck it all in and the M&S jeggings I think just aren't quite high enough...

The Gok ones are properly high waisted.

busyboysmum · 15/09/2013 21:42

I got some perfect ones from Primark last year in Portugal. 14 euros, wore them to death last year and have just given them a new lease of life with some navy dylon. Am sure they will sell them in UK, we just don't have a local Primark here.

cafecito · 15/09/2013 21:46

American apparel easy jeans, wait for a discount code or sign up to mailing list and they come down to about 50

I recommend them in black, in a smaller size than you'd think. They are magical

carrielou2007 · 15/09/2013 21:47

I can't link too old I needed sine 'in between' jeans for same reason and really pleased with asda great tum and bum jeans (terrible name!). Long is good length, very smoothing! Waist is high too big for be but waists always are on me I have small waist. Luckily it forms the optical illusion of making me look smaller than I am as I have a large bottom Wink size 12 great fit and for £18 I may buy them when I can squeeze comfortably fit in a size 10Grin

Watching this thread with interest.... Smile

I bought Marksies jeggies (5 pocket ones) and they were baggy round the bum so I gave them to a mate who is a size bigger. Went back and bought a size smaller for me, but the give me slight muffin top due to waist not being high enough.

Might have a look at Sainsbo Gok, but experience tells me that the leg length will be too short by miles.

DorsetLass · 16/09/2013 00:08

Just marking my place as been looking for same thing...

Gap High Rise Skinnies. A true high rise jean.

shoeprincess2 · 16/09/2013 09:11

I believe that the Uniqlo Ultra stretch are pretty good. However, I haven't got round to ordering any myself as b) I think they come up big. I am normally a 27" waist so not sure what I would be in Uniqlo's sizing and b) I cannot be mithered with having to return things if they are not suitable. Can anyone advise?
