Oh the shame of it, had to be cut out of a basque I tried on today

Tried on a white broderie anglaise tie up the back style basque. Struggled enough getting into it and could not get out of it at all.

Eventually after swearing, sweating and almost crying I had to go into shop and ask assistant to help me. So she cut it off and said to other girl that it was faulty.

In some ways though looking back now I think it's quite funny.

Had to share it with you

How embarrasing!

meowmix · 22/06/2006 15:20

oh god you poor thing

tenalady · 22/06/2006 15:20

hilarious, that will keep em in jokes for very long time to come.

Skribble · 22/06/2006 15:21

Oh I have a basque like that but managed to get back out of it in the shop so stupidly bought it as it did wonders for my figure. Trouble is that after a night out when you are under the influence and so is DH it is impossible to get out of and a bugger to sleep in - but it looks soooo good .

norah · 22/06/2006 15:22

Nightmare - BUT at least they didn't make you pay for it !

mazzystar · 22/06/2006 15:22

i am hoping that it was not a communal changing room.

Blossomhill · 22/06/2006 15:39

The thing is usually zips on basques go all the way up one side but this one didn't. It only went half way!

God how ..

I have nearly got stuck in thigns before, usually tunic type things that go over head with no zip or buttons.

That awful sweaty realisation that you may have to call for help..

Sounds like assitant was nice to you about it tho, she could have been snotty & awful.

Will you ever go back to the shop?

Blossomhill · 22/06/2006 16:09

Oh yeah I would go back.

Ended up buying a pair of cream skinny jeans afterwards!

I got stuck in one of them corset/full length hold all yer bits in type things with attached bra in M&S. I nearly fainted like an old lady having an attack of the vapours. Decided it would be easier just to go on a diet!

marthamoo · 22/06/2006 19:23
