So I keep reading about the new way of measuring for a bra...

Is there anywhere I can put my measurements into, to find out what I should be wearing?

I've always worn 34DD, but after I had a baby the cups gaped so I wear 36c, but I'm not sure if its right. It's hard to find bras as I don't really have much breast tissue underneath my breasts for some reason!

Measure under your bust firmly.

Then, without a bra on bend forward and measure round the fullest part.

Post the measurements here and someone will be able to give you a starting size.

I'll bet my life you aren't a 36c

there are loads of bra threads on here. Basically measure under your bust to get your back size e.g. if you measure 34" then that is your back size. Then bend over and measure around the fullest part of your bust - each inch difference between the back and bust size will give you your cup size e.g. 1" diff = A, 2" diff = B, 3" diff = C, etc, etc

Ok thanks, I measure 32.5 under bust, 39 at the fullest part, but that seems like I'd need a really small back size or have I got that wrong?

I've only ever been measured years ago by la senza, but they measured me as a 34D and my boobs always squeezed out the cups so I went up to a 34DD!

Try a 32F

ilovepowerhoop · 14/09/2013 22:25

32F maybe (yes you need a small back size if you only measure 32.5" under your bust)

32F, really? But I only have small boobs!

I will give it a go though, thank you!

32F has the same volume of cup as a 34E or a 36DD so not that big really.

PeazlyPops · 14/09/2013 22:30

I'm a size 14, so that would make sense if you are a 12 and 30 back.

Is there a MN consensus on which stores sell bras that are true to size? It's been so long since I've been bra shopping, I just grab supermarket bras.

Oh it's so confusing, I feel like I've been living a lie! Maybe it will sort my back ache out. Grin

I will try a couple of different styles in 32F and report back!

I think Bravissima is good size-wise.
