I have ran out of perfume!
2years ago I had a large collection so people stopped buying me it as I apparently 'had enough' Sad. Looks like i shall have to treat myself this month although I know what I will be asking for the Xmas Wink.

I like oriental/gourmands but I don't mind a strong floral. I like a powerful fragrance with excellent longevity.

Past favourites include: creme de pistache by Laura Mercier, badgely mishka, bulgari onmia (the brown one),angel,Tom ford white patchouli and Tommy girl.

I'm ready for something new but I don't know what's out there currently.

Thanks.

I love Bvlgari's au the Blanc - it's light and fresh, citrus-y so might not be what you are after, but it does last and it is delish

I used to use Tommygirl, I don't know the others (is Angel the chocolate one?)

ZingWantsCake · 14/09/2013 21:36

just noticed that it's you! Wink

DH has just bought me Tom Ford's Azure Lime, which is wonderful. Quite masculine almost. It's very lovely. But it ain't cheap!!!

gaggiagirl · 14/09/2013 21:51

I was a huge Angel fan but now wear Jimmy Choo Flash - gorgeous floral, rich scent. Lasts all day too Smile

ZingWantsCake · 14/09/2013 21:55

kENZO D'ETE

if still available is just UTTERLY gorgeous!

needastrongone · 14/09/2013 21:58

DH paid £125 duty free, it's online at House of Fraser at £140. An investment, you need so little. It's truly a lovely scent, already I can't think if anything I would rather wear.

thecatfromjapan · 14/09/2013 22:00

If you like "Angel" you should go to a large M and S, one with the new Beauty department, and try the "scenteurs gourmands" "Vanille Bourbon" - though "Vanille Patchouli" is my favourite.

If price is no object, you should try the Serge Lutens fragrances (Selfridges, Liberty, House of Fraser, places like that) and Le Labo (Liberty, their own outlet) are interesting and modern.

There's also been a big trend for oud over the last few years, which you might like. Selfridges have a whole sales area given over to oud fragrances.

Sparkletastic · 14/09/2013 22:06

I have just been given the Zadig and Voltaire scent (1st one) and it is gorgeous - a complex gourmand with some exotic floral notes. My all time fave is Bvlgari Black - leather, burnt rubber and purest sex!

gaggiagirl · 14/09/2013 22:06

cat I long for a serge lutens frag but my budget won't streach.

Ideally I would like to spend £50 or less, less would be better.

I'm pretty excited about the m&s ones they sound great, can't wait to try them. I bet the price is nice too.

Bulgari black is a beaut. I like their jasmine noir too.

Love my Organza Givinchy or for a bit of extra Oomph, I combine Anais Anais with Lancome Hypnose. I dont like Anais Anais on its own, but it adds a richness when combined with ssomethig woody or 'green'.

gaggiagirl · 14/09/2013 22:10

M&S here I come!
I'm nicely surprised by them this A/W.

that new tom ford smells like 4-7-11 so you could go for that!

I like burberry weekend for men. It's lovely. Very fresh. If not quite masculine then certainly unisex.

macthecatsmum · 14/09/2013 22:17

Tom Ford! Everytime i go into Fenwicks i get many cards sprayed with a selction and leave them scattered, I have told all of my kids to drop hints to Santa. so far no joy. Serge Lutyens ditto. i am a big fan of Guerlain, especially the classic scents, like Shalimar and Mitsouko, but got Le Petit Robe Noir last year and it is lush.

LillyNotOfTheValley · 14/09/2013 22:18

Oriental: Coco (Chanel)
Strong floral: Pure Poison
You would probably like Midnight Poison as well.

On the trendy side, Jasmin&Cigarette, Etat Libre d'Orange

Oh and if you get the chance to try "Putain des Palaces" (ELO too) I bet you will love it (strong, floral and spicy; all in all not something anybody forgets! sadly cannot pull it off)

gaggiagirl · 14/09/2013 23:06

Has anyone tried le feu (?) d'issey in the orange bottle? It got discontinued years ago, that is a hard frag to pull off! I liked it but the world around me didn't.
