Starting to Finally look after my skin since becoming addicted to style and beauty! I am looking for a decent night moisturiser for after cleansing. I tried coconut oil but it blocked my pores. I am mid 30,s, oily skin. Anyone recommend me a decent moisturiser, preferably a cheap one!

I love Aldi Lacura creams - £1.99 a pop!

Thanks ceecee! I thought I read recently that aldi were doing away with their lacura range. I will give their night cream a go, I bet it's cheap as chips!

I have oily skin and found the Aldi stuff too heavy for me. I love the Body Shop's vitamin E stuff.

I use botanics night cream. Think It's about .£6. It's v good.

Thanks girls. My skin is really quite oily and shiny. I just today bought some botanics facial wash. Cheap n cheerful! Might give the cream a go. A few to try anyway..

By the way, the Aldi night cream has a really strong smell, which I (and a few others) do not like at all...

Inthebeginning · 14/09/2013 20:21

I use the aldi day cream in the winter as I get dry and greasy skin (in the same places) but that's quite rich so I think the night cream will be to rich. Botanics one is good!

Clinique Dramatically Different gel, with Moisture Surge gel over the top. I've never found anything else which wasn't greasy and which I didn't react too.

Thesebootsweremadeforwalking · 14/09/2013 20:25

Oh sorry, not cheap, but I tell myself it's cheaper to buy something that goes a long way and which I know I'll use, rather than constantly giving away failed experiments of cheaper products!

AndTwoBits · 14/09/2013 20:29

Ta girls, appreciate the suggestions. I tried the botanicals face wash tonight and it seems nice so I think I'll try their night cream as a starting place. Cheap mistake if it doesn't suit!

The Decleor night cream is awful: wax texture and dodgy smell.

(I seem to have a thing about smells...)

There's a nice light one for oily skin in the boots 'time delay' range. It's a cheap range and there are always offers on it and £5 off vouchers etc. I really rate the whole range, and a few years back it came out extremely well when reviewed in the beauty bible by Jo Fairley and whatshername.
