Breast Surgery.... NHS Surgeon or Private Surgeon?

Hi!

In the last 18 months I have lost 5 stone, and I aim to loose another 1 1/2 stone, bringing my total loss to 6 1/2 stone. I also aim to have a breast up lift AND breast implants. I am at the beginning of researching everything and have lots more to do do yet, but I am wondering who is the best?

Do I go with a surgeon through the NHS with my GP?
OR
Do I go with a surgeon privately e.g - Transform.

I have been looking on transforms website at prices, I do realize they are only estimates and that a personal quote will be the final price, but they estimate,
Breast uplift - £4,730 - £7,500
Breast enlargement - £3,695 - £5,300*

So I could be looking at £12,800 for both the procedures with Transform?

Would the surgeon that my GP refers me to be cheaper than Transform and as reliable? And does anyone know any estimates?

Any info would be great! Thank you!

I would think that you could only decide if the NHS surgeon is ok after you've met him/her. And is it a major hospital you are going to so that the surgeon has done many of these ops, not some little place in the sticks. And is that surgeon, the one you have met, doing the op or is it one of his juniors?
