I will say though, with Gap clothes, the cut and size varies so much I wouldn't buy online. I know you can return stuff though. but I'm lazy

I've made so many wrong purchases from Gap I can't tell you. Why? Too lazy to try stuff on, or take it back. I hardly ever buy from there now.

And I only ever bought in a heavily reduced sale 'cos it ain't cheap for what it is

If you mean the 30% off denim, it ends today according to my email. But agree - I've tried the same size on in two different styles in Gap and found one too tight, the other about 3 inches too wide!?!
