Black knee high boots with a heel.....

Am in the midst of unpacking AW clothes and came across a pair of Hobbs black knee high boots similar to these . They are beautifully soft leather but I haven't worn them for at least two winters because I can't decide if they look stylish or naff!

Not sure how to define my style but here is a link to my AW Wardrobe board on Pinterest that I've just started curating here

What do we think? Time to eBay or time to wear?

Ooh, they are lovely! Please do not eBay. I have a similar pair from Clarks and lots of knee length a line skirts.

My feeling is that the skirts need to cover the top of the boot though, don't you think? More midi than knee length?

How about with skinny trousers tucked in and an oversized knit or boho blouse Or is that totally passé? I've seen photos this year of both VB and Kate Moss wearing this kind of look but I'm hardly putting myself on an equal plane there!!

I've always taken the opposite view: skirt covers the top of the boot = frumpy. skiry stops a few inches before the boot = stylish.

Skinny trousers/leggings also works.
