Breast feeding friendly party outfit?

Please help me S&B guru's! I have a party to go to & nothing to wear! I will be taking 4 wk old breast fed DD so need something I can pull down/pull up to feed. Friends are all going for glam dresses but I am struggling to find anything with a lower neck line to allow a boob to be hoiked out! I am considering black skinny trousers with heels & nice top but am yet to find a top!

I am 5ft3, size 12-14 with a bit of a post natal jelly belly!

Any ideas? Eternal thanks in advance if you do!

Do you have a Mamas and Papas nearby? They have some good nursing dresses which look nice (or tops) - all quite flattering for jelly belly too Smile

Thanks poop! I have just had a look on their website, there is no evening wear, just jersey day dresses & tops- do they have more stock in store do you know?

Not sure tbh...maybe accessorise a plainer dress with more blingy-ness?

I once got a dress from Tiffany Rose, good quality but was better as a maternity dress than a nursing dress, there was a bit too much on display for my liking...though they might have different styles now.

I'd choose something I was comfortable in/using over something dressier, but that might just be me. A flattering shape gets more compliments too! Smile

Some nice stuff on here - bit pricey though

A jersey wrap dress or wrap-style dress that is easy to pull down? Can always add a pashmina to drape over you for privacy when feeding (even if you only drape it over a chair when you don't need it).

I have a long-sleeved wrap style Issa dress that I bought from Ebay that would fit the bill too (wouldn't pay Issa new prices, but there are ebay bargains to be had).

Personally I'd prefer something that isn't a dedicated nursing dress as you'll get more wear out of it going forward (and I've never found any dedicated nursing wear that isn't a bit frumpy).

I bought a gorgeous dress from here for my brothers wedding, some lovely stuff.

How about black skinny trousers with a nice pretty but floaty top that you can wear a vest underneath- then you can pull the top layer up and the bottom layer down for discreet feeding?

Thanks all, some nice bits on babes with babies & the milk site, will have a proper look in the morn! I like the IO dress, bit pricey though! Think I will order a few things & see how they look on!
