Retin-A or Tretinoin online?

Has anyone bought any Retin-A products online without a prescription? I see it's possible to buy them off Amazon. Is this because they're being sold from countries where you can buy tretinoin over the counter?

My skin is already "retinized" by using Avene's Triachneal first and then moving to a stronger product with 2% retinol. So I'm fairly sure I could now use a prescription strength product with minimal irritation. Am fairly sure my GP won't prescribe it to me though as I don't suffer from acne - just skin that breaks out hormonally from time to time.

Thank you Mumsnetters!

I bought two tubes from Amazon, recently.

That particular seller doesn't have any for sale at the moment.

It is this exact cream

www.amazon.co.uk/0-05%25-RETINOL-VITAMIN-CREAM-Retin-/dp/9744323213/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1379015397&sr=8-2&keywords=Retin-a

Warning, I used twice, one day in between each use and my face peeled and came out in big spots on the fourth day.

It was horrendous but I was able to dry the spots up and conceal my red skin using make up.

However, it only took a couple of days and my skin looks fantastic.

I am now using it only around the crows feet area and have had no spots or adverse reaction.

I won't be using on my nose or chin unless I know I can hide for a few days!

Make sure you have good contraception. You don't want to get pregnant while using this stuff as its teratogenic (causes abnormalities in foetuses).

A really good reason to avoid obtaining pharmaceuticals online.

Thankfully at nearly 50, I don't have to worry about being pregnant but that is an excellent point EmbroideredCloths.

Thank you Sunday

And thank you too Embroidered - an important point. Fortunately I have completed my family, plus I'm single and celibate, so the teratogenic aspects of vitamin A are not an issue for me.
