Hole in toe of sheepskin Ugg Boots....anyone know if i can get it 'fixed'?

boots are still like new...apart from a small hole on the big toe where my foot has obviously worn it through.

was wondering if anyone has had the same problem and managed to continue using their boots without looking like a total scruffbag!

Blog post on covering Uggs - could that be an option? You could get a very different look with different fabrics, and as you'd need so little it should be cheap.

In the post the person mentions getting them professionally repaired. I have no idea where to start to look.

I gave an old pair to my friends daughter , they had a hole in and I have quite a few pairs. They took them to a cobbler who sewed a new piece of suede on them . It was on the side and not all that pretty but it worked . Maybe go and ask a few if they have any ideas.

So next time, buy your boots from the UK brand Celtic Sheepskin and they will mend them, re-sole them etc....
I have a pair which have been re-soled twice and re-toed once.

If you get it repaired then won't your toe just poke through again?

I took mine back to the shop and complained, boots should last two years at least. I got a new pair did make quite a fuss though

I supervised my toe hole up. You could only notice if you were close up.

I got my first pair 25+ years ago when I was staying with my Kiwi cousin, over there. Her whole family had them and they were all full of holes with hand sewn repairs. Very easy. Needle and thread.

jux...my sewing is totally shit. dd's brownie sash is shameful, never mind on a boot where it would be in full sight!

mosman...dh bought them for me years ago. I doubt he can even remember where he got them, and deffo no receipt to show. it would be a VERY long shot!

My big toe has done this too after 6 months. Ugg were crap and told me I'd got the wrong size ..... Err no this was my 3rd pair all the same size and the first to go. I'd had sme fit flops boots before and they lasted over 2 years before the toe went.
