What would you really like that is worth a treat

Time to treat myself.

Willing to spend up to about £300 for the right item.

Can't decide if it should go on a nice handbag, a price of jewellery, or shoes/clothes.

I want it to be personal to me, something I can wear/use and something I will want to keep.

What would you choose?

Probably jewellery or a coat.

Or a weekend away.

Weekend away sounds like a fab idea!

A Eurostar return to Paris for £60 for the day

The other £240 on a fab handbag/scarf from Galleries Lafayette/Printemps.

Just the frisson of excitement of bringing back something no one else has.

I would personally choose jewellery. I've wanted some real gold hoop earrings for years.
Hopefully i would have enough left over for some new dms.
A bag or coat will only get broken and/or stained. Gold lasts forever.

Fillers for my creases, saving up for them!

Love the Paris idea!

I would buy a great watch I could wear everyday

Dilidali · 11/09/2013 06:49

A pair of fabulos earrings.
At the end of every major hurdle in my life I have bought myself earrings. I don't do rings apart from my simple wedding ring but you might. But every time I put my lovely earrings on I remember how I felt once I've achieved and it lightens my mood, puts a massive smile on my face and it's just the best feeling ever.
I am currently saving for a pair or diamond studs to mark the completion of a few draining exams.

I really like the Paris idea, just the whole concept. I'd probably go for a bag as I wear the same jewellery every day but if you do, then I think jewellery would be a good bet in terms of long lasting/not worrying about trashing it. Which I would with a coat.

Hi Beaverfever! I'm so jealous.

I would go to Jo Malone and get a gorgeous new perfume. To me - this is a luxury item. And it feels more special than other brands. Especially if you get something unique / unusual. It is also something that makes you feel special everyday when your 300 has run out (i don't work for Jo Malone). (£39)

I would have an entire day of shopping in a beautiful shopping centre. Start the morning off with champagne and a piece of cake at Harvy Nichols or Selfridges or whatever is near you.

Get a make over done at Lancome or Estee Lauder or whatever your preferred brand is.

Get hair done just for the sake of it - just a wash and blow dry like the rich people do on 'real housewives'.

Then go to lunch by yourself at any restaurant of your choice and get a BOTTLE of GOOD wine and some delicious .... pasta (would be my choice) and spend a good two hours watching the world go by just relaxing.

Disclaimer - i have a small baby and these are the things i dream of.... TIME by myself just being self indulgent.

Failing that - I got an antique ring that I treasure (was £90) but feels special as it was a little hand picked treat for myself that I look at everyday and makes me smile.

Failing all that - send me the money! Grin

Agree with previous posters; jewelry. For me, something Swarovski would be perfect.

StuckOnARollercoaster · 11/09/2013 07:18

A diamond, last time I got a pair of stud earrings, next time I get a similar opportunity I'd like a pendant/necklace.

madmomma · 11/09/2013 08:46

beautiful winter boots from net a porter or some such.

Sophiedotty · 11/09/2013 10:22
