Applied Veet to my upper lip...now what's happened?!?

I stopped using Jolene on my upper lip after I realised it was essentially bleaching my skin as well - I had a lovely outline in a paler skin tone which was more obvious than the hair that was there! I have blonde, very fine hair on my upper lip, but it is noticeable in certain lights - so after no Jolene I've tried Veet. This has removed it a treat, but now my foundation seems to be almost 'collecting' in that area!! I'm sure I've got an obvious darker line on my upper lip and it's really making me self conscious. What can I do? Would threading/waxing stop this? Why is it even happening in the first place?! It's really starting to get to me, ugh.

I thought this was going to be how to recover from a moustache burn from the cream!

Have you tried one of these buffing mitts to remove fine hair?

I will try and find a link

They are in all the pound shops but here is link to Superdrug one which has a great review

It's like fine sanding paper!

You could try a tinted moisturiser instead of a foundation and see if that makes a difference?

Oh, I was planning on popping into town tomorrow so will have a look in Poundland for a mitt. I've got some BB cream I could try instead of my usual foundation, thanks for the suggestions!
