Schwarzkopf Palette Creme Hair Colour..Anyone Used B4?

So at the moment my hair is a med/dark warm chocolatey brown, with about half an inch to an inch of auburn roots. I last coured my hair about 3 weeks ago, but it didn't take on the root area which is why my roots are still visable! I don't have any greys -maybe odd one!

I'm fed up of trying to keep up with root re-growth, but don't want to go back to my natural colour yet. I've lightened coloured hair in the past, just a smidge by putting on the lightest nice & easy blonde.

Was going to do the same today only my local chemist didn't have it in, only had the Schwarzkopf colours in. I got the lightest one in natural light blonde which lightens 2-3 shades. I only want to lift some of the darkness out, I don't want to be blonde or auburn, just a bit lighter so my roots don't look too obvious & I won't be applying it to my roots just my lengths.

Anyone used this dye b4? If so what's it like? Or am I heading for a disaster? Worse case scenario - I end up with a tarantula type hair colouring, or it makes no difference!

its my hair dye of choice at the moment, 3.99 in home bargains, i used think its 800 dark brown and its just as good as the more expensive dyes i used to use garnier natrisse before buying this as a grey coverup when in a rush but now prefer it

It has good reviews, however the one i've got one is, I think the lightest shade (200 lightest natural blonde) & im hesitant as to wether I should just whack it on (bearing in mind my hair is dyed med/dark brown) & hope for the best (I only want to lighten my hair a tiny bit) or sit on my hands & wait till I get hold of a light blonde nice & easy.

I don't want another hair disaster - had too many horror stories. On the other hand it's just a blonde hair colour isn't it? Ok so it's one of those that says it lightens by 2-4 shades & does read on the instructions : do not use on coloured hair! But....arghhh
