Smart(ish) boots for wide calves and small feet?

Does anyone have any ideas please? I have proportionately ginormous wide calves and small feet (4.5). The only knee high boots I've ever been able to wear are of a slouchy brown variety (similar to these).

Work dress code is 'business casual' and I've found myself wearing my slouchy brown boots nearly every day more often as I walk a lot, they are often covered by trousers (so you can only see the smarter bottom bits) and they are just so much more comfortable than heels. I wore heels on Friday and was literally hissing with pain half an hour after I took them off as my feet were cramping so badly, and these were my 'comfortable' low heels.

The boots are now knackered and not really suitable for work any more. Can anyone recommend boots that look smart enough, go with anything and could fit someone very wide of calf please?

Have a look at Duo. Lovely boots, if a bit £££, but there's an outlet with occasional bargains. You need to measure the widest part of your calf first so you get the right fit.

Ooh thank you, some of those look perfect. I don't mind paying a bit extra if they're going to last/look smarter - I've had the current ones for 8 years now... it's been a long frugal slog for the last few years so now I have a reasonable salary I want to take the chance and dress the part!

Smile good! I've got 2 pairs and they are great quality, love them. I would love a pair of the flattish black ones in the outlet, maybe Christmas.

I saw these duo boots posted on another thread but I wasn't sure about ordering online without trying them on for size as shoe size varies between 5 and 6.
