I bought some from sainsburys after they were recommended on here and they're pretty good (the £10 ones). They wash well and haven't gone baggy. They are pretty thick too.

cece · 09/09/2013 21:40

Another vote for Sainsburys. 2 pairs of £10

GoofyIsACow · 09/09/2013 21:44

Ooh see thats why i love mn! Our sainsburys clothes section reminds me of Bon Marche circa 1990 but i reckon the leggings may be lurking at the back by the pale pink zipthru fleeces and hoodless gilets!

Will look tomorrow! Thankyou :)

Mint Velvet - £15 in J. Lewis.

This is my 2nd pair, they don't bag or fall down, they've got a nice high waist & even seem to suck the tummy in.

MissBetseyTrotwood · 09/09/2013 22:16

I like the Uniqlo cottony ones.

DoItTooJulia · 09/09/2013 22:19

Sainsburys, but NOT the two for a tenner ones, they have to be the ten pounds for one pair ones.

They come in short, regular or long length. I love them, but they haven't had my size for aaaages.

gaggiagirl · 09/09/2013 22:19

H&M £5.99 I wore them til they got holey! I must have worn them 100 times.

piratecat · 09/09/2013 22:19

asda ones are pretty good too. i got some last yr, not been for a while so don't know what they have for this season.

Biltongmuncher · 09/09/2013 22:23

I just bought some from next, very good. Nice and thick and the normal length was right down to my ankles (I am 5'8) but they do a long length too. A bit more expensive but they are really nice on and hold their shape (and all the wobbly bits in!).

SELondonSwede · 09/09/2013 22:23

Topshop are pretty good too imo.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 09/09/2013 22:24

I bought Sainsburys ones (the £10 a pair) and they split up the bum area.
Much to the hilarity of my DD.

I love the M&S with the wider waistband .

FayeKorgasm · 09/09/2013 22:26

Another vote for Mint Velvet. They are the best I have tried, although I haven't given the sainsbury leggings a try!

DoItTooJulia · 09/09/2013 22:47

So, thanks to this thread, I have bought some £45 leggings. 45 quid. On leggings! They better be good!

Boden. As recommended by MN last autumn Grin Google for a code, there are always discounts!

I'm tall so need long ones and they are long enough and also, NOT see through!

GoofyIsACow · 09/09/2013 23:16

Soz DoIt! Blush Grin

MortifiedAdams · 09/09/2013 23:21

H&M. Hands down.

OiVaVoi · 09/09/2013 23:29

they are dear (about 30 quid) but American Apparel winter leggings are the business - lovely and long and thick and extremely long lasting.

DoItTooJulia · 10/09/2013 07:41

Ill report back!

TheBuskersDog · 10/09/2013 07:57

Those of you recommending the Mint Velvet leggings, do you mean the ones with ruching? Don't you look like the leggings are far too long?

NotQuitePerfect · 10/09/2013 10:11

Yes, the ruched ankle ones. I know they're not to everyone's taste but the ruching is quite tight & not long/baggy looking.

DoitToo I tried those ones on in j Lewis on Saturday - took me about five minutes to get them up & another five to get them off! Decided that they would just annoy me, so went for the MV ones instead. The Lysse ones were lovely & thick though.

Boden are also good.

DoItTooJulia · 10/09/2013 11:41

I had heard they were a pain to get on and off, but that once they were on, they were ok.

I bloody hope so!

Maverick66 · 10/09/2013 14:14

Trust me Sainsburys £10.00 per pair (modal written on hanger cover)
I recommend these wholeheartedly as the only leggings to suit dd who is very chunky of thigh. They don't bag sag or become see through. I discovered them after many many mistakes :)

GoofyIsACow · 10/09/2013 14:24

I was hoping to get to sainsburys before the school run but have run out of time, will pop either later or thursday. Bargain!

I bought the sainsburys £10 ones after recommendations on here and I'm very happy with the quality.

Halfling · 10/09/2013 14:28

Boden leggings are the best without a doubt - no sagging, piling etc. even after years of use. Material is very good quality. And there is 20% discount till Thurs.
