Hey guys, just that really I'm turning 30, heard this recommended a few times is it worth the money? Any experiences? Want to avoid eBay due to fakes, where do you get your deals from? X

I have bought it a few times both for me and my Mum (mainly because MN raves about it, and it also wins the Beauty Bible awards)

Honestly? Smells gorgeous. Never noticed any discernible difference to my skin.

I buy salon skincare online generally. Usually have big offers. (I got a double sized pot 100ml last year for £75 with some capsule things thrown in as well. That would be at least £100 in the shops and then some)

I think so many people do rate it it's worth a try. But I won't buy it again.

I have used this for years and the best deals are on QVC or Debenhams as a rule. I am almost 42 and have no lines < yet > and would recommend this moisturiser.

I would also advise looking at the Asta Lift moisturiser from Fuji Film which is spendy but very good. Oh and start using a serum under your moisturiser

ElBombero · 09/09/2013 13:37

Thanks flora, can you recommend a serum, I was thinking maybe advanced night repair... X

try time to spa website good offers, starter sets etc

FloraFoxley · 09/09/2013 15:15

ANR is good , yes but I wouldn't have thought particularly necessary at 30! 40 - yes : )

Have you considered an oil? Just a few drops prior to moisturiser. Trilogy rose hip oil is fantastic as is clarins blue orchid oil. REN rose oil is good too - but my vote would go to the trilogy one. It's about £16 for the newer antioxidant one.

( I must stop spending so much on all this shit ) Grin

ElBombero · 09/09/2013 15:54

Haha I know! Is the trilogy oil much different than normal rose hip? I have a bottle of that. So you recommend the oil then the marine cream? I WILL NOT age! X

The Elemis marine cream is not heavy enough for me - it makes my face feel tight. I prefer the oxygenating night cream.

ElBombero · 09/09/2013 17:58

Ahhh that might be a problem for me too, I'm really dry. Mind you if I'm using the oil too...

The absolute best for me has been Neal's Yard Frankincense Nourishing. (they do hydrating in that range as well, but nourishing is richer) I first bought it years ago when I read an article where the tester said after a few weeks she was going out without makeup.

I flit around and try allsorts, but NY is the one I always go back to.

ElBombero · 09/09/2013 18:56

Is neals yard a cream or an oil

I am 28 and I use pro-collagen, have done so for about a year.

It's made a huge difference to my skin and had gotten rid of the fine lines I was starting to develop on my forehead. I can't recommend it enough! My mum also loves it.

I only use it as a night cream as I have an oily skin type. I use a Clinique moisturiser for during the day.

JustBecauseICan · 09/09/2013 22:09

NY do both, the nourishing cream and then a frankincense serum/oil. I haven't tried that though.

ElBombero · 09/09/2013 22:13

Thanks ill check out some reviews on it. Still think ill have to try the marine cream x

I've used the Elemis PCMC but it didn't inspire me to re-purchase.

Philosophy Hope in a Jar though is lovely.I had a line above my eyebrow which has pretty well gone now.

Now using L'Occitane (in the blue glass jar ) ? Immortal.

The little capsuals (pink and green) iI don't feel there's enough in them, but I use one after swimming. Just keep a couple in a tiny jar.

MrsCocoa · 09/09/2013 22:18

I love the stuff. Unusual as I'm very rarely loyal to beauty products. Look out for deals at QVC (sorry not very good at links):

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 09/09/2013 22:20

WRT PCMC there was a special deal on QVC yesterday. 100ml for £98.
Usually £50 for 30ml.

But check some of their kits. Try a range of the products in the smaller sizes.

(I'm using the Tri Enzyme Face wash in the shower. It's not a cleanser as in removing make-up. More a resurfacer)

WildThongsHeartString · 09/09/2013 23:41

Elemis is on sale in Brand Alley until tomorrow. Sorry cant link at the moment.

PrimalLass · 10/09/2013 10:22

I use this instead now
