Can anyone help? I have lost my way

I feel so down at the minute. I have gained a bit of weight and have nothing to wear. All my clothes are so old but I have no idea what I should be looking at. All my friends look lovely and I always feel frumpy, scruffy and either over or under dressed. I don't know what's cool or anything anymore.

I am off on holiday next week (this country so nowhere hot, thank goodness) and would love a few bits to cheer up my wardrobe but I just haven't got a clue what I should be buying.

I am 5ft 4, size 12, sometimes 14, with a big bum, chunky thighs and a bit of a tummy, blonde hair, blue eyes and pale skin. If anyone can suggest some styles, links too, I would be so grateful.

Budget wise, I could probably afford to spend £100-£150, high street woUld suit as I don't have lots of time for online buying.

I'd check out the polyvore website. Once you work out how to use it (it isn't very intuitive), you can search on items the same or similar to what you have in your wardrobe and see how others have styled them.

Alternatively, I checked out new style advisor on M&S online yesterday and it was quite good. You answer a few questions and then it comes up with suggested styles & clothes for you.

Do you have anything you like wearing that you feel comfortable and stylish in as a clue to your taste?

I feel the same as you, reluctantly I have had to but a few items in a larger size, I'm usually a 12.

Loved H and M, I seem to be a 14 in there. They have some good smart loose fitting shirts to wear with slim fit jeans or trousers.

As my tummy is a problem area I have been more comfortable wearing leggings lately, but with a nice dress or anything around knee length over the top, had loads of choice in that shop, maybe a nice pair
of brown leather boots too which go with anything.

I bought 2 dresses to wear with leggings and a shirt from h and m for £50 so money left over for boots or more clothes there! Xx

Thanks for your help everyone. I have got an H&M over the road from work so will pop over and have a look after work.
