I am going to a professional conference and on one of the days we will be bussed directly from the conference to a gala dinner that goes on until late. I'm trying to work out what to wear that will look appropriate during the day and then can be tweaked in the ladies room with something so I magically transform into someone dressed for dinner.
Whatever I add to the outfit I will have to carry around all day (in an oversized professional looking handbag), and anything that gets removed from the daytime look will have to be carried in the bag for the evening (so not that easy to change from suit into little black dress because I then have to do something with the suit).
I am most likely to be wearing a plain black suit suit with straight knee length skirt, so flexible options are tops to wear, scarfs kind of things.
Has anyone got any great ideas? Thank you!
