I'm not a lipstick wearer - my mouth is thin, and I don't suit red lipstick (DC call me "Drag Queen" )

But I really want a statement lipstick. Probably a nude shade or a wine.

Doesn't have to be a gold case, black, maybe crystal set .............
(I'm looking for one that's not dry either. No point in style over substance)

What's your posh lippie choice?

Tom Ford. Makes Chanel look like rimmel. Stays put as well and is moisturising. I wear casablanca.

I love Laura Mercier, mine is a sheer red.

Guerlain is beautifully packaged and people rave about the quality on here and elsewhere. Ive never tried it though. Chanel lipstick packaging is gorgeous too, so sleek and heavy with a lovely 'click'. I tend to buy Mac though, not v exciting packaging but great lipstick and not half as expensive as Chanel et al!

Was just going to post that Guerlain lipsticks look so pretty.

However, I now use one of the cheapest brands in lipsticks, NYX as the actual lipsticks are far superior to any expensive ones I have bought in the last thirty five years plus!

The packaging is cheap and horrid though!

I have also been buying a crayons recently. Revlon Honey is lovely. Bourjois do one in fuschia which is my favourite and I have half a dozen clinique chippy sticks, the purple one being the best.

Chanel lipsticks are always lovely.

Tom ford are great but ££££. I love ysl rouge volupte shine beautiful packaging, lots of shades and really moisturising. The colour lasts longer than the Chanel shine ones too.

YSL no.28- cant read the actual colour as its rubbed off but it's a gorgeous purple and I love it.

Estée Lauder Signature lipstick.
Comes in a lovely, heavy, gold metal case & a good range of colours.

I used to pull my lovely Chanel one out with an inner smile at its lovely packaging...until it melted it my handbag one day and the bloody lipstick all mushed onto the lid.

I am also a huge fan of Lipstick Queen, particularly Medieval which is so moisturising and lovely, but less exciting packaging than some of the others.

Sorry - missed off the end. LQ Hello Sailor is meant to be a wonderful berry colour. A few of my friends have it and looks good on, but I haven't tried it.
