What can you do when there is 6-8" of belt left flapping about eg on a dress without belt loops?

posh or not posh? If not posh, elastic band. If posh, can you make a thin loop from a piece of matching ribbon or cord & sew it on?

posh - the dress, not you. Although if you are posh... I'm not too proud to wear an elastic band!

TallulahBetty · 07/09/2013 18:18

Hairband.

fackinell · 07/09/2013 18:24

Same coloured hair bobble.

For a thin belt i use Plaiting bands. The tiny ones for horses manes.Come in a variety of colours so hidden quite effectively.

I just tuck in thin belts, i.e. back under the belt itself. Works fine if it's a casual outfit.

Thin, colourless hair elastic bands from Boots. They are virtually invisible.

Primrose123 · 07/09/2013 22:26

Blu tack.

ygritte · 07/09/2013 22:26

Or elastic thread from places like Hobbycraft for girls necklaces.

ShoeWhore · 07/09/2013 22:34

I tuck in although I am liking the blu tack and hair bobble ideas Smile

TallulahBetty · 08/09/2013 08:16

Extra advantage of a hairband is that you then have an emergency hairband Grin
