OK, I'm fed up with having 4 boobs Blush, and I've got a bit of spare cash, so it's time to go crazy.
I need a whole new bra wardrobe, but finding it hard to search through all the websites to find any for me. Also, I'm unsure of my size.
I'm measuring 39 under, pulled tight and 48 dangling Grin. Does this make me a 40 G?

I like pretty, balcony styles in lilacs, pinks, purple colourways and need white an dblack as well.

Anyone fancy choosing for me? Please?

OK, I would probably start with a 38 back - most people suit rounding down better anyway, and especially those above a 36. You might even need to try a 36. Start with a 38G and 38GG and work from there

Now, boob shape. Are they:

Fuller on the top or bottom (this is easier to see if you look at them sideways whilst bending over)
Close together or far apart (i.e. do you have a big central gap or not much)
Wide root or narrow root (do they come from under your armpits or are they more planted on your front
Softer tissue, or quite firm?

Grin I can't believe I'm about to describe my boob shape on MN.

Ok, here goes...

Fuller underneath (marginally)
Far apart
Wide root
Soft (but pleasing firm, says DH. Hmm)

They're sort of...round booby shaped really Grin

They're definitely my favourite bit, and I like to have cleavage and show my décolletage (ooh, get me!)

It's ok we gave up our boob shame long ago! It sounds like your boobs are fairly "balanced" - if your boobs are very top or bottom heavy, or very close set it can be more troublesome!

Now, ideally some cleavage and some nice pink/purples...here goes! If I have tried them I've given sizing info

deco hatty big in cup try the 38G to start. The Deco which it is based on comes in black white and nude.
ashlee same shape as the one above
Satine winterberry small in cup try the 38GG and maybe the H. Also comes in black white and nude
dixie definitely pink
Freya patsy only goes to a G but pretty and Freya tend towards the big side
Fauve pricey, but gorgeous...one to get DH to treat you to Wink

Cleo Marcie not a cleavage bra but great shape and gorgeous colour. Try the G and maybe GG. The pants are fecking tiny, up 2 sizes territory! Comes in pink too
Boudoir Beau not cleavage but very pretty

I have no sizing expertise to add, but unless you like a white bra for the look, you really want a nude coloured bra to wear under white clothes. Much more versatile.

Enjoy your new bras!

amistillsexy · 07/09/2013 11:15

Ooohh!!! statistically Challenged Those bras are lovely!
I go for pretty and lacy, so the last two are more my type...Cleo Marcie and Boudoir Beau.
I'm laughing at the pants...if I tried those, they wouldn't even be seen-my tummy would encase them Grin

AnythingNotEverything I do like the look of white bras, but I take your point about nude-they are better under white clothes. Maybe I need a couple of those, too Wink

Since I'm throwing everything out and starting again, what do you think I should be going for? How many of each type/colour, do you think?

And does anyone know of any pretty, not itchy or see-through knickers (that are good for the more rotund of tum)?

This is ace. When I've done my shopping, I'll post links to all my new buys!

I'd go for one of each bra just so that you can make sure that you get the size/style right.

If you're looking for a nude bra, the Cleo Juna and Panache Idina balconette are both very nice. The latter has quite a retro look and the lace is very pretty.

StatisticallyChallenged · 07/09/2013 11:53

I like the pants that go with the Satine and the Deco, both are a respectable height and quite comfortable. I have had boudoir beau many years ago and I think the pants on it were lovely too - generally the Bravissimo branded ones are good if you like sets. Cleo ones sadly are generally very low rise!

If you are not so fussed about cleavage then the Bravissimo Alana is a good all rounder for bottom heavy boobs, and comes in nude black and white.

Oh. My. Giddy. Aunt.

I just popped to Tesco to do my shopping and thought I'd have a look at the bras, not holding out much hope, but LOOK WHAT I FOUND!!!!

beautiful bras!!!

Cheap as chips, and my norkage looks a million dollars! I cannot believe it. I thought supermarket bras were no good for (ahem) the larger ladeee, but I look as though I've just paid a few thousand for an uplift!

My boobs look 10 years younger! DH can't believe his luck! I never thought I was wearing the wrong sized bra, and I never thought they could look this good Grin

Thank you, you lovely Bra Experts, you, especially StatisticallyChallenged. I will now be popping bras in with my carrots and beans with the best of them!
