Do you dye your hair darker for winter?

A few months back I dyed my (long with a heavy fringe) hair blonde after years of being a brunette. But last week I had my hair cut and it just doesn't work with blonde hair which has pissed me right off

I've had a few compliments about my lighter hair colour, but really miss having dark hair. I was thinking about dying it brown again before we go on holiday in two weeks, and staying dark for the winter. What do you think? I have very pale olive skin and blue eyes.

Yes go for it, I've just gone dark red/brown from very light blonde. Im very pale with blue eyes.

I'm so bored of it now, and its dye it or cut it all off Wink

I don't tend to do wholesale change but do add warmer highlights for winter and more ash blonde for summer. I think it's kinder on skin tone. So perhaps could go more caramel/ honey tints?

Yes. Just gone from dark blonde to choc brown.

I've just done it, its a chocolate brown. I love it, I think I'm meant to be a brunette tbh.

I did a Superdrug auburn brown for summer , might re-do this colour for Autumn. But yes browner for winter which is my natural colour anyway.

Did you all do it yourselves? I did mine myself with a mahogany brown as I read that if you have bleached hair then you need to add a bit of read otherwise the colour won't work. I did mine last week it look great but now after 4 washes it has faded a lot and can see the blonde showing through a bit. Any suggestions should I go over it with a chocolate brown?

Red not read!

I did, I would use another brown on top, tbh. I always prefer my hair after a few washes, it doesn't look quite as harsh.
