Shampoo recommendation for fine, mid-length hair?

I am considering spending 20 quid on Aveda, so if anyone knows a good, slightly cheaper shampoo that will work please do let me know!

I have brown, mid-length, quite fine hair that lacks volume at the roots and can get greasy and tangly attractive

It is shiny though, and I would like something that would detangle and add oomph.

TIA

Cake Wine Brew Thanks

Both my daughter and myself have fine hair, one has mid length hair, the other long. We both like Herbal Essences as it cleans our hair and leaves it feeling in good condition (we do both use a matching conditioner though on the bottom half of our hair).

Haven't tried Herbal Essences for a good while, so might give that a whirl again. I just lack oomph in the hair department!

Your hair sounds similar to mine and I use Alberto Basalm (any flavour) which are 99p or £1 in most shops. I've given up wasting money on expensive shampoos when AB ones are fab and cheap.
