what to wear with a blazer for work

i want to smarten up for my college job. i usually wear black trousers with a top. what could u wear with a blazer?

I have several jersey blazers I wear with just about anything for work. I also wear them with jeans.

I wouldn't go with a black blazer with black trousers - perhaps grey, or pink or even white.
