Is there such a thing as jeans that suit my portly bottom?

Am a 14 currently edging towards 16 classic English pear lardarse thunder thighs. Mainly SAHM and generally live in jeans. For years now I've been wearing some flared jeans from Next but have come to the decision that they don't actually suit me. I think I want something fairly wide legged (but perhaps I'm wrong?). Anything with skinny/slim in the title scares me.

With it wear mainly tshirts/flats/non-glam. Am CRAP at this kind of thing. Can anyone help, please?

I've just bought the Eva straight jeans from M&S in a 14. I'm a 14/16 in trousers, pear-shaped, carrying a few pounds more than usual around my tummy/bum. They fit really well and I am really pleased - so much more flattering than skinnies on me but not flarey/boot cut so look nice with ballet flats etc (which I wouldn't normally wear with jeans as I need heels with skinnies and then flats get hidden with bootcut). They have 3 different ones (Lara is another, I think Marilyn the third) cut for slightly different shapes and Eva is meant to have a bit more room around the hips/arse. £25. Denim is a bit thin but really not bad for the price.

They also have a high waist so sit over my tummy helping me look much less muffin toppy!

Would you try some straight legged jeans from boden? They come up higher over the bum and are flattering on. I'm all about the ass too and I like these jeans.

I've been a large 14 lately. I bought a lovely pair of casual cotton jean/trousers from Not Your Daughters Jeans. There's plenty of room for my ass and thighs while looking like a skinny and being a light weight material, which I think is easier and more comfortable in summer. I bought a couple of other pairs in the sale for winter, longer jeans, and they are so comfortable. They are expensive normal price but if you can get a sale then I think the higher price is worth it.

I'm a similar size and I've just got the stretch skinny jeans from uniqlo. They are awesome.Good rise so no muffin top and they really keep their shape. Had to have them shortened slightly but price is great so I didn't mind.

Thank you all :)

NYDJ have a fab name but a bit out of my price range, even in the sale. Love Uniqlo but I just cannot see myself in skinny jeans, ever.

Have however got large M&S nearby so will make a trip, plus just had quite an expensive visit of the Boden website Blush damn their sale - elsewhere on MN found 20% off and free delivery/returns with code MCES, making their jeans just under £40 delivered which seems quite reasonable. Just hope some of what I've ordered fits/suits me!

I know what you mean about price. I saved up, I was just tired of wearing leggings. Hope you find something nice!
