Should I dye my hair pink?

I am really bored with my hair. I colour it myself as cant afford salon prices anymore and it has been the same medium blonde for years.

I have been both lighter and darker over the years and have also gone red.

I was thinking of dyeing it pale pink-maybe not all over but a few streaks. When I asked dh he pulled aHmm face and mumbled something which I am sure was to do with my age!

So am I too old for pink hair at 38?

Nope, not too old. I dyed mine purple last night. If you want it, go for it, it'll wash out if you don't like it Grin

I'm 38 and I had blue streaks for a bit. I got bored with maintaining it though.

If you're blonde already then what's stopping you? Wilkinsons have the bright dyes or pop in somewhere and get some crazy dye.

Go for it!

If you hate it, one or two washes with something like herbal essence (or about 6 with super expensive hairdressery shampoo) will remove it anyway, so there is really not much to lose. Just don't spend too much money on it, as it doesn't last, and also don't do it if you don't like slightly orangey tones, as they (unlike the pink) will stick around until cut or redyed.

No I def don't want orange tones-my hair is quite brassy as it is! Was planning on trying the new Loreal pastel wash in conditioner-has anyone tried it?

Never used l'oreal, I use Directions dyes which come in about 34 different colours including pastels I think. They have conditioning properties as well so don't leave you with straw like hair and are definitely semi's not permanent dyes, you can see the colour washing out every time you wash your hair. never had a problem with them and they always leave my hair in great condition

Do it! If I had blonde hair I totally would. So pretty. And this.

Sorry if the links are odd, I'm on my mobile.
