Dramatic I know...... hairdresser just been and questioned had I been cutting a fringe in or something as I had shorty bits where my hair falls either side - I have like a layered bob style some would say. I wash it everyday and generally straighten it too, I use 2 in one shampoo in conditioner ant dandruff and a nice line in snow if I wear a black top. we have decided this fringe has appeared from snapping off - maybe I brushed it harsh on holiday or caught my brush in it I don't remember. She has suggested I stop using my straightners as much change my shampoo and not washit every day which I cannot even bare to consider - help me change my ways!

I have fine hair and wash every 3 days.

I style without heat ( velcro rollers when hair is almost dry on days I have time).

Hair gets used to it, I used to wash every day.

I use Aussie mega shampoo, the one that just cleans and leaves no residue, and REN conditioner ( silicon free).

I find giving your hair a break from products and styling to be the best thing for keeping it healthy. By far.

Your hair sounds similar to mine - fine, wavy, tends to frizz. I wash, dry and straighten every day, but I always use conditioner and leave it on for a few minutes.

I've just used this keratin treatment last week, and I can't believe the difference it has made to my hair. I'm still washing it daily but haven't used straighteners on it since I put the treatment on, just haven't needed to. Mine's not in bad condition normally, but I'm hoping if this lasts a couple of months where I don't need to use straighteners, then I repeat it, my hair will be in great condition.

I have to wash my hair every day otherwise it looks a fright.

I used to use my straighteners every day as well. I recommend the Babyliss Big Hair, you dry your hair with a dryer and finish it with the Big hair, it makes it smooth and you also don't need to straighten.

Also at the weekend I try to just leave it to dry naturally. It is wavy and I hate it but it gives my hair a break, and I usually wear it in a messy chignon then.

I would say that perhaps get a specialist conditioning treatment, the elvive things may not be up to much. This is brilliant and well worth the money www.feelunique.com/p/Philip-Kingsley-Elasticizer-150ml

I wash mine daily but, I let it dry naturally.

Sounds like your hair could use some tlc. I've switched from conditioner to SP Luxxoil. It's £25 in salon but £16 on the Internet. Makes my hair feel "virgin" as it were (it's high/low lighted) and it gives strength and shine, without greasyness.

straighteners don't ruin your hair if you use them sparingly. I wash and straighten once a week, and wear it up for the last couple of days. I also do an oil treatment weekly before the wash, usually argan, coconut or almond oil.

I saw Ken Paves on tv recently showing how hair should be washed correctly for minimum damage. Use sulfate free shampoo only wash the 2-3 inches from roots and massage into the direction of hair growth with fingertips (no rubbing) the remaining shampoo will cleanse the rest of your hair as you rinse it out.
