Loads of spots on cheeks and neck - why & what can I do??

They appeared just before we went on holiday 4 weeks ago, I wasn't too worried, drank loads of water and presumed they'd clear up in the sun. But they didn't. Sob! The ones on my cheeks are small, red, normal looking spots, focused on the centre of my cheeks. The ones on my neck are fewer but bigger and on the part of my neck directly under the centre of my cheeks - if that makes sense!

I've googled and googled, it's got to mean something (something said cheeks were linked to respitory system so smokers tend to get spots there - but I don't smoke).

Any skin specialists out there with any advice?

Thanks x

I know nothing about skincare, and whilst this could well be a hormonal issue or something requiring antibiotics, a few common sense things might help to rule this out:

Try a gentle, anti-bacterial facewash or toner
Dab tea-tree oil or Sudocrem on spots
Wash your bedding and ensure you change your pillowcases every couple of nights
Wipe down your telephone and mobile handsets with anti-bacterial cleaner or wipes
Try not to touch the affected area or let your hands lean against it
Drink plenty of water

If none of these things help, then the chances are you would benefit from seeing your GP or a dermatologist. They might be able to prescribe you something to clear it up.
