MN local is dead as a dodo, so who can help me find a good hairdresser in Herts?

I haven't had my hair cut (by anyone except me) in years and years. But my cousin is getting married in a few weeks, and I've spent the last few weeks in and out of hospital ill with this damn pregnancy so could do with a pick me up haircut rather than turning up with my current bird's nest.

Problem is
a) I haven't got the faintest idea which hairdressers are any good
b) I have no idea how much haircuts cost now, and I only have just over thirty quid I can spend.

Help me stylish people?

I'm in Herts and I have my hair cut by a hairdresser who comes to my house...I know this is usually associated with nans and isn't terribly fashionable but she's very good and my cut and blow dry costs me £22, which is well within your budget Wink

I can PM you her details-not sure where in Herts you are but she will travel to people or you could go to her.

As I say, mobile hairdressers aren't always seen as very trendy etc but since she's been cutting my hair I've had lots of compliments on it and it's brilliantly easy to manage which are all down to her cutting it so well.

Hmm, my home is a small flat with no shower, and there's a small toddler running about it. Would prefer to actually get out if possible. I'm in Hemel if that helps?
