Do you like this Joules sweater or can I do better?

I ordered it with 15% off but it hasn't been dispatched yet as it's not due in until the 4th of September. Don't know whether to cancel it?
I'm a size 10, 5ft3 if that helps at all. Thanks

I think that is a really nice jumper, if a bit pricy. I would wait to see what it is like, 4th September isn't that far away.

Dawndonnaagain · 30/08/2013 20:31

I looked at that instore yesterday. I nearly bought it, but couldn't justify the cost. It did feel really soft!

Elsiequadrille · 30/08/2013 21:37

It's ok. But I'm not impressed by the quality of Joules knitwear.

Crutchlow35 · 30/08/2013 21:57

I want something like that but with a v neck m

I'm thinking about this one from French Connection after seeing it recommended on here. Not sure about the price though!

It is the sort if garment that makes your husband have an affair...

LeoandBoosmum · 30/08/2013 22:33

Nice style and shape, that one...but a bit dear for 50% acrylic..

Just kidding! ( have been spending too much time on the relationship forum).

But seriously, it is a bit unexciting, though personally I rate Joules for quality.

JohnSnowsTie · 30/08/2013 22:38

That's what puts me off Leo.

LeoandBoosmum · 31/08/2013 01:23

Ha Ha Parm... I just love navy and thought it was a nice jumper to throw on with jeans and boots. I can swym though...it's not exactly exciting. I am wondering how warm it'll be (Mrs Practical!) as it's 80% cotton and only 20% wool...still I suppose it can be layered. I'll see what it's like when it turns up.
Yeah, Johnshow...the acrylic is offputting. I saw one very similar to that on The White Company's site last year. It was half cotton, half merino wool. Maybe it's worth a look on there. I have a 15% off code somewhere if anyone wants one :)

I don't think it's good value or would be warm enough. Gap have similar merino (albeit less chunky) knits for a lot less than that. And I find Gap knitwear to be excellent quality.

Parmarella · 31/08/2013 08:05

I find chunky cotton jumpers to be useless when itgets cold.

They are heavy but not warm, ok for september but not december

All my merino and cashmere jumpers get lots of wear though

baskingseals · 31/08/2013 08:14

Johnsnow I really really like that French connection one. Might get it on the justification that it is so hard to buy a flattering jumper. Thank you for that.

missbopeep · 31/08/2013 08:36

It's a rip off for a cotton jumper. Yes you can do better.

JohnSnowsTie · 31/08/2013 10:02

basking Don't, you're tempting me back towards it now! That's the thing though, it does look flattering (in a slouchy/casual kind of way) and the couple of people I've come across on here who have it absolutely love it.

Maybe I should part with my fabric snobbery on this occasion...
