Seen some wedge ankle boots and thought they might make me taller and slimmer but still be more comfortable and casual than heels. Yay or nay?

Totally depends on the boot. Some are gorgeous, some are ugly little blocky fuckers.

Got a link OP?

As a general rule I don't like them, think they make your feet look like hooves [stomp, stomp]

I do have a pair of clarks desert wedges which are loooovely though. Almost glad it's winter so I can dig them out again!

can be great but go a size up and wear an insole for the smaller versions are more stumpy of foot.

i prefer them if they are otherwise slender, like with a narrow toe and a tassle, etc. chunky wedge boots are very blocky.

check out isabel marant versions for ideas!

I like them with skinnies rather than dresses or skirts.

they look like elf boots

Thanks don't have a picture. Can't decide whether they are good or not!

Love them with skinnies. Mine are quite delicate looking with a high wedge similar to the ones in the photo on the right so they look good with dresses and opaques as well.

I don't like wedge boots with a flatter heel, think they're a bit frumpy

Love them - Kat Maconie does some great ones!
