For some boots. Flat heeled. Brown, Just under the knee. Size 9. To fit a tall person (I'm 6 foot).

I've tried many a pair but they are always either too big in the calf width (usually I'm a size ten and have slimming calves) or they are too short, or shaped to fit a shorter leg, or too small.

I want to be able to wear them over jeans or under a skirt without them looking like wellies.

Pleeeeaaaase help. I feel my autumn will be bereft without them.

Slim calves. Not slimming.

Have you looked at Duo (standard MN response to a boot question)

I am 6 feet, slim calves and size 9 and have 3 pairs from there (and my eye on 3 more for this year)

Ooh. No, I have not: I have narrow knowledge of online shops! I will check them out.

Don't faint at the prices...think of it as price per wear.
I have had one pair for four years and they are still in excellent condition.

I have no ankles and chunky calves. I finally got a pair just as you describe from Fat Face.

Some hopeful options on Duo - thanks for the tip. Yes prices a bit scary though! Especially as I'm on mat leve so it's vv hard to justify a two hundred pound splurge at the moment Smile

Especially as my shoe cupboard is littered with failed boots from previous years - dh doesn't seem to appreciate my plight.

Put failed boots on Ebay.

I'm thin-calved and tall and have a much loved flat pair of Dr. Martins in a lovely brown. Not hugely fashionable, but practical and what I consider classic Grin

If you just want a pair of throwaway boots that won't last past one season, try New Look - cheap, and it's a bit hit and miss as to quality, but they do a huge range of Size 9 shoes now.

Emotion shoes (online only) are brilliant but wide fitting.

Have heard good things about Simply Be.

I am 5'11 with size 9 feet and have successful boots from all of those places. I've also had good ones from Barrats in the past - they seem to come up big so I can get an 8 from there.
