never gone to a spa before and really looking forward to a break - its just an overnight stay but no idea what i need.....
am taking a small case with essentials for the evening and following day to come home,
suggested in the bumf is taking a "day bag" with swimwear etc in.

do you have your treatments in your swimwear?

any hints or tips most welcome please.....

I went to a day spa recently. I took my swimming costume off during my facial as it was wet and the lady told me to!!

Take a good book too and have a lovely time.

i really need this break. i hope DS leaves me alone.....he has phoned 3 times tonight already....my phone might have to just stay switched off.

You have treatments in your robe and underwear, ime - not swimwear.

Yup.

Treatments in robe (usually provided) and undies.

I spent a fair amount of time in gym stuff.

Enjoy the break.

Vicar you need me with you.I pack up small in a suitcase and don't crease.

Never been to a spa for more than a few hours and am very envious. Would love an overnight.

Wolf Hall, or possibly Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell, or Game of Thrones. Or all three, you can't be too careful.

Capitola · 28/08/2013 00:14

I guess it depends on what treatment you're having.

Massage? You strip off or down to pants. Facial? Involves upper boob area. Body wraps/scrubs? Again strip off.

Full cossie is a bit impractical imo. Easy to pop back to your room or day locker to put your cossie on.

tried jonathan strange and mr norrell a while back but just couldnt get into it.....
game of thrones thoroughly watched - waiting for season 4!

im having a facial, massage and pedicure.

Titanic Spa - huddersfield. if i can find it.....

Loads of people bounce off the first 100 pages of JS&MN for some reason - you need a long uninterrupted spell to power through the first chapters and really get into it, after which it's a blast. You know what would be the perfect opportunity? A spa day Grin

ThatVikRinA22 · 28/08/2013 00:37

im halfway through "joyland" and then have the final paul o grady bio to get trhough.....

might just give js&mn another go though - dh said it was fab....i just struggled with it.

he is currently on "gone girl"....

You need to try it again at a time when you can give it a concentrated push - if you read 10 minutes at a time before you go to sleep/on the bus, you'll never get past the first 100 pages, but once you're really into it it's great.

I seem to have got slightly off topic I'm afraid - have a great time.

snice · 28/08/2013 00:47

take some flip flops to wear maybe?

ThatVikRinA22 · 28/08/2013 00:49

own foot wear not allowed! you are given slippers and a robe.....

i should try to attempt sleep. up early! thanks for all the info all....

see you in a couple of days!
