Because it's summer all year round where I live and I want to steal your clothes and beauty tips now I've list weight and decided to Take Myself In Hand after 2 years breast feeding in sacks with crap hair and no makeup....

What clothes/ products made you happy and jumped into your hands again and again - especially on hot and humid days?

I thank you.
:)

I often think I look crap but on my holiday recently I looked in the mirror at my plane clothes and felt quite smug. I was wearing a black vest, black harem trousers (a very new departure for me) a nice fine wool hoodie and green ballet pumps with a green scarf. I imagine I am at least 2 years behind fashion (possibly channelling Jennifer Aniston from about 8 years ago) but it was classy looking and chic and comfy flying from Cairns (28 degrees C) to Sydney (18 degrees C) so a good balance for changeable days.

Ooh that sounds really nice. I Have never thought of harem pants but I bet they are really comfy as well as stylish. Like the idea of ballet pumps with harem pants too, have only seen them worn with gladiator sandals but my my friend in UK who looks amazing in them.

I actually felt pretty happy with a few of my summer looks this year, it was so nice to have a little spell of gorgeous weather for once! I wore brighter colours and simpler outfits - faded slogan T-shirts with shorts (either navy silk, denim cut-offs, grey cotton roll-ups), a tea dress, vest tops with lightweight peg-leg trousers.

My best find was so easy: these sandals in the nude shade. They were glam enough to dress up slobby outfits and but very low-key and didn't overpower anything else I was wearing. A much better option with a dress than heels for a warm night out. The shape and colour is flattering to the leg and I was pleasantly surprised that they didn't hurt.
Have fun!
