Denim skater skirt in very small adult size/teen size please!

My DD3 is absolutely desperate for a denim skater skirt along these lines:

m.topshop.com/mt/www.topshop.com/en/tsuk/product/clothing-427/skirts-449/full-flippy-skirts-595/high-waisted-denim-look-skater-1946962?refinements=Colour%7b1%7d~%5bblue%5d&bi=1&ps=20

Only problem is she's only 13 and skinny - she's in age 10 clothes for the most part. We've tried Topshop but the smallest size is too big, no joy in Miss Selfridge either. We tried shops with kids ranges (Zara, Primark, Gap, Boden) but they don't have them. Primark has plain jersey ones but no denim.

She's got a highly important pre-return to school sleepover for which this skirt is key apparently. Has anyone seen one on their travels? It would need to be a size 4 adults (or a 6 at a very small fitting shop - Topshop 6 was too big) or age 11ish.

It's a darker blue, but it's a size 4

Not as nice, but teen sizes.

braces could be removed easily
buttons might kill it
right shape, different fabric

River island has several in the shape in bright colours

littlemisswise · 25/08/2013 22:46

This one is 24inch waist.

American apparel?

The style is so simple to make yourself

Or if you don't have time, perhaps a relative could sew it for you to your daughters exact measurements.

I started sewing properly when I was 11 and making things to wear so even your daughter could be involved in the sewing.

Some fabric shops have cards for local dressmakers as well.

Oh you good good people! Thank you!

I'd forgotten about ASOS, there are lots on there I will show her. The Forever 21 one looks perfect too, so might try there. She likes that very pale chambray better than the dark wash.

Diddled, American Apparel is usually too big on her - even the suction fit body con stuff looks baggy (hooray!)

I'd not thought about making one SundaySimmons, but that's not a bad idea if all else fails - that or just unpicking the seam and pulling in a slightly too big one. My MIL is an ex seamstress, so I tend to avoid all but the most basic hemming type jobs for fear of my work being viewed as inferior, but I reckon I could have a go at this.
