Hair elastics and shoulder length hair

Not very exciting post,s sorry! My hair has just got to nearly shoulder length and I can just about put it up.

So two questions:

Does it look stupid to put hair up at this length? I don't exactly have a long swishy ponytail!

Any recommendations for best hair bands (elastics?) to use? I want something non snaggy that won't damage my hair.

No, don't think it looks stupid. As an alternative to elastics, how about clipping it in a barrette or slide - something like this?

It'll look fine. All the supermarkets do elastics - matched to hair colours, no metal joint so no snags. Try Morrisons or Sainsburys

Ohh I think ponies look better with shorter hair, mine looks silly in a ponytail as my hair is really long.

I bought a scrunchie of hair that goes round my very sparse pony in a sort of curly bun so it looks like I have lots more hair than I have.
