I know I'm behind the game here, but can someone help me out with BB creams?

I am curious to know what exactly they do? How do they differ from CC creams? I'm trying to work out if I need to invest in one.

Also, are they worn in place of moisturiser and primer, or as well as, under foundation?

I wear Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation, and love how it makes my skin look, so wondering if I need something else too. I'm feeling I am missing out on something Grin

I use the Garnier one, on top of moisturiser and instead of foundation. I have dry skin though. The bourjois healthy mix foundation makes my skin look awful, it kind of sits on all the dry bits.

I only realised it was oil-free when I looked more carefully at the bottle after wondering why my face looked so shit.

I have used the Avon Magix one for years and still love it.

I use Boots no.7 and have done for about 2 years. It comes in different types so I use the dry skin one. You use it as a foundation really, you don't use foundation on top. I use an anti-redness cream if my rosacea is flaring up, but that is about it. It just balances the clour out, but allows my freckles to show naturally. HTH.

Great - thanks for all your help. I'm much more informed now!

I use the Body Shop one now and again when I can be bothered (not a make up person).

I have the fairest shade - and it suits my skin with a light tan. I have heard it is quite dark for a lot of skins though.

Looks nice on - and doesn't feel too made up.
