Recommendations for a waterproof raincoat for 3.6 year old DD?

Hi, can anyone please recommend a decent waterproof raincoat for my DD?

Last 3 or 4 I bought for her have had shallow hoods that only cover half her head and have had no drawstring or peak within the hood to keep the rain away from her fringe or the hoods just keep falling down.

Looked at Hatley (apparently the hoods don't stay up), Mini Boden (hoods don't seem to have a drawstring). Mini Joules seem good from what I can see?? Would prefer a bold bright pattern.

Happy to spend a bit for a good quality item. Any recommendations please??

Lands end do v good waterproof coats, if you look in outlet section on website you might find a bargain.

Dd had a really good fleece lined waterproof coat with big elasticated hood from lidl last year, but you'd have to be lucky enough for them to happen to be selling them the week you wanted them.

Agree hatley hoods are totally useless!

Jojomamanbebe have a beautiful mini 'fisherman's coat'.

Regatta are good- we have them for Nursery and Reception children to wear in Forest School, they keep them dry and have lasted for years.

Polarn O Pyret or Muddy Puddles maybe? Trespass? I would go for one by a company that specialises in outdoor clothing as they have taped seams and seem to all have elasticated hoods.

Petit Bateau.

Second Polarn O.

Just bought DS's second waterproof outer + fleece inner combo today. Last year's was ace. They can be worn separately or together so all based covered. If you buy the combo at the moment the fleece is half price.

DD1 has one of these from Mountain Warehouse. I sized up eventhough she's small for her age and it has plenty of growing room. There's some lovely spotty ones on the website too.

Id look at proper outdoorsy type shops rather than fashion. Go outdoor millets etc all do coats for small children.

Dd has a regatta one that fits well. Its pink with spots on as she chose it.
