I can only think that people who actually could pull these off without looking really quite odd are fashion industry high fliers or actual catwalk models. To wear these as fashion and pull it off so it looks cool even in Sainsbury's is almost impossible. I think you would have to be Chrissie Hynde type if you weren't a model, to get away with it. (ie insouciant, but in a genuine, because I-really-don't-care kind of way not a "today I am channeling insouciant in my Nike Leopard Maxes. Tomorrow I will be channeling demure in my Topshop floral tea dress").

Maybe I am? I would never describe myself that way, but I am a bit mad and do live in east London

More seriously, I suppose I think clothes are fun and people should wear what they like. I enjoy people pushing the envelope and don't think age or style 'rules' should be worried about too much.

I love them OP - I like the Pheobe Philo suggestion, but tailoring can be tricky to wear daily if that's not your lifestyle. In the real world I'd probably go for slightly cropped skinny jeans and a fitted grey marl sweatshirt. Definitely the emphasis should be on keeping the rest of your outfit simple. I also think they'd look great with black leather skinnies.

I think they're sick. Totally my style but way out my budget sadly. I would wear them with black skinny jeans and a burnout or graphic tee or a printed midi dress.
