Which of these two Didriksons coats would you buy and what colour for an Autumn?

I want to buy one of these two coats but not sure which one or which colour.

Didriksons Tilde

or

Didriksons Irene

I am an autumn and wear mostly dark hues of all colours. I have green/blue eyes, brown hair with red undertones and yellowy tinged fair skin.

I'm leaning toward the Tilde in dark green.

Tilde in black or navy. I have a didrikson and it's some of the best money I've ever spent

poppingin1 · 23/08/2013 14:42

Thanks Wolf, I would probably go for the Navy then as I have always had a black coat and would like a change, even if it is just a subtle one.

I like the dark green or peat.

LeoandBoosmum · 23/08/2013 14:54

I like the Irene in the purple. I like that it's a bit different and, to my eye, a lot more flattering in shape than the Tilde.

LeoandBoosmum · 23/08/2013 14:55

BTW, where are the prices for these coats?

flowery · 23/08/2013 14:58

My husband is an autumn and either the dark green or especially peat would suit him. Not the design of course... Grin

mirpuppet · 23/08/2013 15:24

I like the peat. But I'm drawn to the faux fur on the Irene.

SofaCanary · 23/08/2013 15:35

The Irene in the navy.

Are these in the shops yet?

Rooners · 23/08/2013 15:41

Dark green is lovely.

I've got the Taylor (I think?) in that purpley colour and while it's lovely, (very similar shape to the Irene, with furry hood) I think the green is a nicer more flattering colour for someone like you describe.

I prefer the furry hoods though. If the Taylor had come in dark green I'd have probably gone for that.

(I have brown/goldy/slightly reddish hair, blue/grey eyes, fair skin)(no idea what season that is!)

Rooners · 23/08/2013 15:41

Oh and size down! they come up big.

FrancesFarmer · 23/08/2013 15:46

The Irene in purple or any other colour, depending on what you're going to wear it with. The other coat is too mannish imo.

Laquila · 23/08/2013 15:53

I prefer the Irene and like it in the black, purple and navy, although it does sound as though the dark green would maybe be best with your colouring.

Where is it available to buy in the UK, please?

Ruprekt · 23/08/2013 15:56

How much are they? I like both!

sophiedaal · 23/08/2013 16:02

I'd go for the Irene in purple too - Didrikson hoods are lovely.

Spookey80 · 23/08/2013 16:23

Every store I have googled seems out of stock except for a few sizes, do they usually become more available nearer autumn?
Where can I buy one, want one so bad!

babySophieRose · 23/08/2013 16:30

Irene un dark green

mysteryfairy · 23/08/2013 16:43

I think that the Irene is a nicer coat. I know you buy these coats for function above form but the other one is really utilitarian looking.

Not sure about the colour as I would be selecting based on stuff I intended to wear with it as well as colouring.

poppingin1 · 23/08/2013 16:59

They are new for autumn/winter 2013 so not out yet but available for pre order from a few places.

i think the new styles are being released on the first of september and i am sure they are going to sell out quickly so trying to decide now which one to buy.

From what i can tell, they are roughly £160 each.

Now i am even more unsure which on which style to buy. I have an hourglass shape with wide hips and very heavy up top. Both styles can be adjusted at the waist but i am wondering which would suit my shape better. But i suppose they are fairly similar.

What about the Clara? You get the nice furry hood and the flattering greeny colour.

The Irene looks better for every day wear. I'd wear the other style for hiking, personally.

poppingin1 · 23/08/2013 20:43

So are furry hoods fashionable then? I quite like the look of them but am always put off because I have seen so many turn matted and manky looking after a couple of washes.

I think I have settled for the Irene in my usual black. It does look much more of a day to day coat even though I love the Tilde neat look.

The Klara wouldn't suit me sadly, I would end up looking like a tent, but it is pretty.

Thanks for the sizing tip Rooners. I'm somewhere between a 12 and 14 so will try a 12. And you do sound like an Autumn to me.

I like the sloping pockets on the Tilde, but then the Irene seems to be twice as warm on the main body of the coat.
