Oil then moisturiser or moisturiser then oil?

Which do you do?

I've always used facial oil either on its own or under a moisturiser. I've read a few times about using it over moisturiser instead.

Does anyone put it on last? Has it made any difference if you switched?

Thanks :)

Not an expert. I tend to use a day moisturiser in the morning then evenings either oil or night moisturiser over serum. Oil if skin feeling dehydrated moisturiser if feeling dry.

Oil after moisturiser at night?
Caroline Hirons explains what to put on when in some detail on her blog which I've found useful.

Oil then moisturiser.

Oil then moisturiser. Otherwise the moisturiser will act as a barrier and won't allow the oil to absorb. There's a good video on it here from Sali Hughes

Thanks guys, that's what I do but had read a couple of times putting it over the top so wondered if I was doing it wrong.
Thanks celia will check out the video
