Hairdresser recommendations in Northampton/Daventry?

Hi all! I've only been living in this area for a couple of months and haven't found a good hairdresser yet, any recommendations? Preferably ones that wont be booked up for months in advance as I neeed to get my hair cut on Saturday... I have long hair and always have a pretty boring cut with a fringe, but it's surprising how many hairdressers manage to mess even that up!

I can recommend Tina B at Medusa Touch. Used her for my wedding hair and she was lovely - very good at listening to what you want. I think she does a few days in salon and then some days mobile if you were interested in that. Grin

I recommend Kelly at the Cutting Rooms at Abington Grove. I live in Daventry and the drive is well worth it.

Scoot up the M1 and see Yvonne at Yvonne Hair Art. She is amazing, and very reasonable. I drive 150 miles to see her.

Oops - she's in Leicester by Fosse Park

Thank you everybody, will ring round tomorrow. porkypine I normally travel 80 odd miles for my awesome hairdresser but just haven't had a free weekend when he's had a spare slot :(

I use the cutting rooms in Abington too.
They're all lovely there!

Right, have ended up with Gemma at the Cutting Rooms (only one available!) Will let you know how I get on...

Well my hair is cut, it is ok, could have done with a few more layers, but it is nice and they were so friendly. But at 50% more than my normal hairdresser I think I'll be doing the 160 mile round trip to see him next time!
