Can anyone recommend me a navy crew neck jumper in wool or cashmere?

Tried the Boden merino one and it was a weird shape. Uniqlo do one but the neck line is too wide. Any ideas?

I have a J Crew cashmere sweater in navy, grey and neon peach. Great quality expensive but worth it.

There is a nice one on Joules right now (80% cotton with 20% wool). Really nice details. It's on pre-order. Have ordered it myself.Hope it looks nice and slim-fitting like it does on the model. Here's a link:

What about Woolovers? Never tried them but I'm sure they'd have one.

Kezztrel · 20/08/2013 10:20

Zara I'm sure the J Crew cashmere is lovely but I don't want to spend more than £100. Leo the Joules one looks nice but am looking for something plainer, no cables. Will have a look at Woolovers charity! This one is tempting me as I tried it in the shop and it fit perfectly, shrunken but not tight. I just can't stand the little Jack Wills chicken logo at the bottom, even though it's tiny I'll know it's there...

Gap merino crew? The link shows bright blue but they do it in navy. I have the navy and grey v-necks and will get the crews next month.

Kezztrel · 20/08/2013 10:49

Thanks JohnSnow, I quite like the look of the bright blue one too :) The navy might be a bit slouchy shaped for what I'm looking for but will try it on.

Kezztrel I love the Jack Wills crew, nearly just bought it there in damson but they were charging £12 delivery to Ireland! That's fourteen flippin euro on top of the price of the jumper. They can sod right off.
Pity, because I really do like it Angry

Kezztrel · 20/08/2013 14:43

Oh no Faddy don't they have JW stores in Ireland? The idiots! I am sorely tempted by it despite the little logo, because it was perfect.

Oh and in the interest of contributing: Is this Iris and Ink any good? I think it looks rather nice.

Kezztrel · 20/08/2013 14:46

The iris and ink looks lovely Faddy, the neckline is perfect. Bit pricey maybe... The jeans the model is wearing are hideous!

They do have JW in Ireland but not anywhere near me. I'd nearly be better off ordering it online which I may yet do despite my rant because there'd no doubt be all kinds of sneaky pound-to-euro inflation going on if I bought it instore.

Is the logo really annoying? It looked quite tiny to me? I rather love that damson colour, it's the nicest I've seen in that range of typical autumn berry colours that crops up every year. And navy is great too.

Hope you find something anyway...I am all about the crew neck, it's my fav!

Preens - guy who owns Woolovers is personal friend of brothers and my brother takes photos for their website etc.

they're actually quite well made jumpers.

Kezztrel · 20/08/2013 15:09

Faddy I guess the logo is not that bad really - it's better than the ones they have on the breast area like this. Those wool cable jumpers are gorgeous and cosy but the coloured logo just adds an annoying preppiness that is not my style at all.

Kezztrel · 20/08/2013 15:14

Btw I agree the damson is gorgeous - that's the colour I tried on in the shop, but really I need a navy one. But then maybe I need both...? Tried the grey too but it's a bit of a dull medium grey.

I looked at the jw netherly in damson in the catalogue but it said cropped sleeves which really put me off, why have a lovely, warm winter jumper without full length sleeves?!

Kezztrel · 20/08/2013 18:18

Cos it's pretty :) Long woolly gloves come into their own with cropped sleeves...
